For over 10 years I have worked with the incredible team at True North Sports and Entertainment, bringing the video screens to life at Canada Life Centre for Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose games. It's an amazing place to be feeling the excitement of the games (especially playoffs), while feeling a part of the team on the ice.
Working in the full television control room as Video Playout, following cues from my Director and Producer, I activate videos on the centre screen and ring LED's, while coordinating timing with the rest of the production crew to create a seamless show.
The second part of my position is creating highlight packages to play during the intermissions. Taking clips from the Live Replays, editing them to music and radio calls, exporting and playing back in the arena. All done in the time it takes them to zamboni the ice. It's quick and dirty editing, but a real challenge that I love.
